Seaside Wine & Dine – A Wine And Degustation Appreciation Evening With Grant Burge Winemaker Craig Stansborough

A wine appreciation evening from sunset overlooking the Scarness Jetty later seated in our Ocean View room at the Beach House Hotel.

Starting with champagne and canapes to experience a breathtaking Hervey Bay sunset, then moving back into our dining room where you will meet the Grant Burge Winemaker Craig Stansborough and Persal Group Executive Chef  Garth Rodgers who will take you on an exquisite wine and degustation pairing journey.

Degustation Menu

Oysters with Japanese Ponzi, finger lime pearls
Eye fillet carpaccio, Dijon dressing, micro herb salad, capers, parmesan
Prawn and scallop ravioli, bisque, roe, herb oil, chervil
Lamb fillet medallion, rosemary jus, roesti, parsnip chips
Valrhona chocolate mousse tart
Milk chocolate and yuzu and sesame slice
Baked white chocolate and coconut cheesecake

 

Craig Stansborough

Group Premium Winemaker

Born in Gawler, on the edge of the Barossa Valley, Craig grew up with the wine industry around him. He started as a cellar hand with B Seppelt & Son in 1983, firstly at Chateau Tanunda and then later at Seppeltsfield.

Craig joined Grant Burge Wines in 1993 as Cellar Manager and was soon promoted to Assistant Winemaker in 1994, Winemaker in 1995 and Senior Winemaker in 1997. In 2019 Craig took on the role of Group Premium Winemaker within Accolade Winesand is highly regarded for his enormous talent, strong leadership, inquisitive mind, and unrelenting passion for winemaking.
